Project

Development of a self-contained anti-poaching facility comprising accommodation, offices, operational buildings, utility infrastructure, and a 2.5 km internal road.
Project Scope
Accommodation and amenities include staff houses, hostels, kitchen and dining facilities, toilets, and a gymnasium. Operational facilities include office blocks, halls, workshops, storage facilities, a pump house, tanks, and a gatehouse. Infrastructure works cover site clearance, a 2.5 km double-seal internal road, boreholes, water and sewer reticulation, electrical infrastructure, and street lighting.
Challenge
The site was undeveloped and remote, with no existing roads, water, or power, so core infrastructure had to be put in place before building construction could begin, and independent utility systems were needed to support long-term operations.
Approach
We prioritised the internal road, boreholes, and utility networks, installing the main infrastructure before beginning the building programme, and sequenced the accommodation, office, and workshop facilities around the completed services.
Engineering & Construction
We built a double-seal bituminous road designed for construction and operational traffic, a borehole-fed water system supported by a pump house and elevated storage tanks, and a standalone electrical-reticulation network for a site without an existing grid connection.
